Had a clear message yesterday that my departed grandmother is still with us. I'd been thinking of her in the morning and missing her, thinking how much she would have enjoyed watching my children playing in the sun, I could almost hear her and I felt her loss very keenly. Then in the afternoon my 4yr old disappeared when tea was on the table, despite repeated calls from us to come and have some cake, then he appeared with a watch I'd been missing for a while. He'd found it in an old bag of my mother's tucked away in the back of her wardrobe. When he showed me the bag I realised I'd borrowed it for grandma's funeral, the watch had been in there ever since. We couldn't understand what had made him go looking in my mum's wardrobe, something he's never done before but I think I know...My mum asked if the watch was valuable, I said no, but then I remembered how Grandama had found my mum's engagement ring on the beach after she lost it in the sea! That was an absolute miracle and then I realised, it's not about the watch, she's giving us a sign that she's with us, by finding something that's been lost and goodness knows if we'd ever have found it. I think she was giving me a message don't be sad I'm here, the watch itself was unimportant, but the message means a lot.
